Internship Highlight–Kirklan Bryson

Posted by Christopher Lester

Hello CSS Community,

This summer I had the pleasure of interning with Protiviti, a subsidiary of Robert Half. During my internship I was apart of the Internal Audit Financial Advisory – Technology Solution. My internship provided me with 10-day training in Florida for the position. In my position, I conducted audits of IT systems. I had the pleasure of meeting professionals in my field and learning from the executive leadership team and the partners of the firm. My mentors at Protiviti were outstanding and I am grateful for the experience of working alongside them.

At the conclusion of my internship, I participated in an externship with Deloitte. This externship provided me with intensive knowledge of the work culture at Deloitte and it gave me access to mentoring and networking opportunities with with junior and senior consultants. I was offered a position with the Government and Public Services practice as a Cyber-Risk advisory Consultant at the close of my externship. I accepted the full-time position and will be joining the firm upon graduation.

I have the fortune of going into my senior year with out having to worry about career applications because of the structure provided by the CSS Roadmap. Instead, I spend time giving back to the program.

CSS Scholar & President,
Kirklan Bryson

Scholar Testimonials

Elfadil Osman
Class of 2017

One of the most critical components of achieving success in any environment is feeling that you belong. Once you feel like you belong and become comfortable, it becomes easier to overcome doubt and mental barriers that stand between you and your success. One important way that you can come to feel comfortable is by seeing that there are others around you who are similar to you, facing similar adversities, and are succeeding. The College Success Scholars program has surrounded me with a community of brothers and scholars who share the same goals as me and face many of the same challenges and adversities that I do. The support from this community has done a great deal in convincing myself that I can be successful, and providing me with the resources needed to achieve this success.
